Wow, what a busy Summer it has been for sales and pending sales. It has been a very positive outlook for high end luxury sales over $10 million with 11 sales occurring during the months of June, July and August totaling $158 million in total dollar volume with an average price per foot of $2,144. Year to date for 2017 there have been a total of 17 sales over $10 million totaling $267 million on total dollar volume. The top sale for 2017 so far is $30 million on Willoughby Way at the base of Red Mountain. There have also been 4 additional sales above $20 million ($27 million at 205 Shady Lane, $24.4 million at 455 Sunnyside Lane, $21.5 million at 951 Red Mountain Road and a $20 million dollar land sale in the Rubey neighborhood at the base of Red Mountain).
For the months of June, July and August there were a total of 115 sales above $350,000 with a total of $444 million plus in total dollar volume. Additionally there are 80 properties currently under contract totaling $407 million in dollar volume which demonstrates the strength of the Aspen / Snowmass real estate markets.
